Do you work in a role where you have
a duty to report child abuse and neglect?

Do you want to help improve practice in this area?

If so, please share your experiences and perspectives in a brief online survey. I'm hoping to connect with Mandated Reporters (people who have a duty to report child abuse due to their work) from across Canada.

My name is Heather, and I was a frontline community worker with families for many years. I am doing this research to help improve understanding and practices around mandated reporting as part of my PhD dissertation.

If you have worked in a role where you had a duty to report, it would be really helpful if you participated in this anonymous survey. The survey should take around 15 minutes to complete. Your feedback is valuable and helps us learn more about mandated reporting and how to keep children safe.

The first newsletter shared some information from the survey about provincial responses and how satisfied people reported being about their reporting experiences and shared a great video resource about "duty to support" work being done in BC hosted by RainCity Housing

The second newsletter shared findings from the survey about the supports mandated reporters think families need, a peer and community care model developed by Rise in the US and a quick summary of Canadian research about what concerns CPS workers are reporting.
